ColorSmear [library support]

Somehow it looks like it's messing up on my forum, and I'm not quite sure why :- \ The forum is Blue Ridge.

When you look at Kendall's profile, the colorsmear code seems to be in effect, although she is not listed for the code to effect her. Also, on the main page, it doesn't effect her name.

The screenshots are all from FF 18.0.1 on Edubuntu, but it is also happening on Chrome 24.0 (Edubuntu as well).

Any help would be appreciated. :- )

**Edit: This seems to be appearing on quite a few profiles on our site, but it's not effecting everyone. I haven't found a connection between the profiles yet, but I'll be looking into it, if it helps.

no I found it. it should only affect the profile page though, and only for users with ids in the 10-19 range because of the smear on the admin display name.

I already fixed it, but I have to wait until I can get home to re-upload it.

you can do this if you surround the variable in the template with a tag that has "smear" for a class.  the newest version had examples on one of the setitngs tabs

Wormopolis, is there anyway I can use this on Group/Rank titles? I know nothing about CSS stuff. I would be ever so grateful for any help. I really do LOVE this plug in!

groups I could do, but there isnt a user interface yet that allows to select groups. so you would have to find out all the group ids and fill them into a box. then it could work on any links with those ids.

ranks however probably wont happen since there isnt a native way to tell what in a mini-profile constitutes a rank title. your "Beta Tester" there isnt surrounded by anything, so its just text in the whole div. if someone moved that around, there would be no way in hell to determine what it was (could be mistaken for personal text). I could have people add in a surround span tag in the template, but even then , its just text, and there isnt a user interface that lists all the rank titles and gives them ids.

now if you didnt want a different smear for each rank/group , and wanted them all the same smear, then you could simply put <span class="smear"><span> around the rank/group and the plugin would smear them then.

wormer random members are showing my colorsmear in their profile page, im the only one in the plugin

yeah you need the newer version. they are getting your smear because their user number stats with 1 like yours.

the Summary in the profile has a colorsmear but nothing else in the profile or edit profile has a colorsmear. could you add them to the plugin
