Update: There will be an option to control attachments. You may turn them on or off. There will be a single forum wide permissions settings to set who can add attachments to posts. The normal v5 permissions block will be used. So you can set it by members, staff, by groups, etc.
We will also be adding control over both the number of attachments and their file sizes, up to a maximum of your current storage plan. So if you have a free forum storage plan for example you have 3 1MB files per post. You can change that number to 2 .5MB files per post, or 1 1MB file. Your choice, any combination. There will be drop downs for you to choose. Hopefully that alleviates some of your concerns regarding attachments.
