I've just added this to our forum, I think it is going to be great and save us hassle. Each work board currently has a sticky post on it that needs to be copied and pasted in manually whenever we start a new thread. The template has several lines to be filled in so your plugin is an ideal replacement
There is only one thing we have on our templates that doesn't seem to be covered by the input/textarea/select options and that is a plain line that we have telling people to bookmark the thread if they have been tagged. I have our tag lists in a 'select' field so people can tag their team, but I'd also like to include the reminder to tag the thread as proboards can't let us do that automatically.
Is there a way to add a text line to the template?
Thank you for this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So are wanting to just have a text line appear in the post or the template? I'd like the message to appear in the post, I thought of a workaround to get the line in after I posted, this is what I have just added: select|Message||PLEASE TAG THIS THREAD input|URL for Live Page| input|URL for Draft| select|Select your team taglist||Team01 @Admin @Admin @Admin @Admin @Admin @Admin @Admin @Admin @Admin @Admin @Admin @Admin @Admin @Admin @Admin @Admin @Admin @Admin @Admin @Admin @Admin,Team02 @Admin @Admin @Admin @Admin @Admin @Admin @Admin @Admin @Admin @Admin @Admin @Admin @Admin @Admin @Admin @Admin @Admin @Admin @Admin @Admin textarea|Comments about task from Work List|
The admin tags will be replaced with proper tags for the teams, but I want to remind people that when they are tagged, they should bookmark the thread. As I couldn't see how to add 'PLEASE TAG THIS THREAD' to the post, I just included a 'select' line with it in, so people can see that they need to bookmark. It looks a bit odd, but it does the job If a future upgrade lets us replace the 'select' with a plain line that would be great, but this workaround will do meanwhile. Great plugin, it will save us a lot of hassle copying templates manually!

Okay after several attempts it downloaded. I need a different type of posting template, if ya can't do it that is fine, just let me know. Firstly, I will let you know that this is for a rap battle site and what I am aiming for is a template to set up one on one matches: I need the default topic field to automatically have the posters username entered in it with "vs" next to it, and for it to be hidden while posting. ex. Username vsThen an input field to enter an opponents name and then a text area. So to sum it up: the only thing visible will be a field to enter the opponents name, and a text area to post a verse. The default topic field is hidden and automatically has "the posters username vs" entered in it. The results of the created post will be: Username vs Opponents Name Battle VerseHere is a sketch of the template:
| Enter Your Opponents Name |
Enter Your Verse Below
|
This only needs to be set for thread starters and not post. Can ya do it or not? Was you ever able to get around to this Shorty?

Sorry I totally forgot, so here's what I'll do. I'll just write you an entirely new plugin that will do exactly what you need.

Shorty, is there a reason that the OP says V2.0.5 but the Library says V0.0.1? Also the OP link is broken so I have to use the Library version regardless. I just wanna make sure I'm using the most up to date version is all ^^ My purpose for posting was to see if it would be possible to make the appearance customizable for the actual result, how it shows up in the post after it's made. Things like font size, family, color, and text alignment would be great but, even better, if I could format where it shows up in the post, such as at the bottom instead of the top, etc. If it's not possible, oh well, but I figured I'd ask. =3 Also would there be a way to make it mandatory to fill out certain fields in order to post? It'd be an option in the plugin settings to make it optional or mandatory for the user, ideally. Likewise, a way to isolate that by group and by board, so certain fields are only required for certain groups and certain boards. And finally, if it's possible to make it so you can have certain fields only possible for certain groups, like how you have it per board right now but with group as well. Aaand finally, is there any way to allow a normal post to be made still? So they are making a normal post but the fields added onto it. I lied, not finally, is it possible to format the way the descriptions look in the posting page, such as font size and family, etc., aaand real-honest finally this time, is there a way to make a character count maximum? That's a lot of requests so I'ma shut up now. x.x' I am so sorry, this plugin is the perfect concept for what I need basics-wise but would need most if not all of those features to truly work for my roleplay's purpose, so I thought might as well rip off the bandaid and do it all at once, plus it's good to find out now if this won't work for me =3 I'm so sorry
