Pending member registration - email admin

Unless I'm missing something, the only way to know if there are pending member requests waiting for approval is to go to the ADMIN area and check for pending accounts.  It would be helpful to have the option of emailing an administrator when there are pending members which need approval.

Edit your profile, notifications tab, you can choose what and how notifications are delivered

That option is already a part of your profile if you are the owner/admin of the forum.

To get there go to your profile, click the edit profile button on the right side of the screen, then click the "Notification" tab at the top, scroll half way done the screen and look for "when a new registration is pending approval" choose either "Forum or Email" to receive the notification and then scroll to the bottom and click the "Save Notificaton Settings" button.

Dave, you're correct for v5. But the OP didn't specify if he was talking about an existing v4 forum or a v5 beta board.

On v4, there is no way to get an email notification. You can only check the admin panel, as you said.

How do I know if I'm on V4 or V5?  I just created this board a week ago and am still learning the ins and outs of it. 

I'm thinking I've got V4 because I searched and searched and couldn't find a "notification" tab on the edit profile screen for the admin. 


Oh heck - NEVER MIND.  I think I've answered my own question.  Yes, I'm on V4 and didn't realize this discussion was only for the beta of V5.

V5 is currently in Beta, and soon to be released, if you have a V5 beta the url would be freemessageboards.com

Technically, this portion of the board is for v4 support, so you asked in the right place. However, a lot of v5 questions end up here too, instead of in the v5 portion of the board. In any case, ask whenever you get stuck, as someone will be able to help.
