I don't know if this has been suggested, but what about having a "parent" account with the ability to connect other accounts to it? Jcink.com has this ability and it was easy to use for those of us that role-play using multiple accounts.

You already get this functionality with ProBoards' new global account feature.  Changing between characters on RPG boards couldn't be easier. Just click on the Switch Account icon  in the bottom right corner of any v5 board. You'll be able to connect to multiple forum accounts from there and change characters with two clicks.
