Your shoutbox doesn't seem to exist in your Forum Wrapper template. That's the one that tells it to go everywhere.



Fix the shoutbox, then get back to me about the other one, because I have no idea what that is. In your plugin settings I see only a blank box.

Yes, that's because I ran into problems with that sidebar and decided to remove it altogether. OK I'll do what you said and be back.

Top two boxes are merged together, but all the others work. Did the plug-in glitch or is it on my end?

You can't set the ID of any of your boxes to welcome, as the "Welcome Guest. Please Login or Register." text uses that ID.

Unless you're adding CSS to a box or doing something to it with Javascript where it needs to grab the ID, it doesn't really need an ID. If you still want it to have an ID, welcome2 isn't in use by anything on the page.

Sorry, I didn't see your question. Probably because you double posted and I read the first one and assumed that was your last reply.

By changing the text, what do you mean? The font color/size/family?

To align your sidebar with the Emergencies category, go into Themes > Colors & Styles > Style Sheet and paste this at the bottom:

#side-info { margin-top: 206px; }

Then go into your plugin settings and in the ID field for your information box, enter side-info and save the plugin.

any chance of a complete idot guide on using this please  i have download the plugin and uploaded it and made sure the advert has been moved etc but when i enable the plugin nothing shows up. Just getting stressed with the whole v5 experience at moment and have people complaining they can not even sign in anymore but thats a sep issue

Guess what i'm asking is a walk through of just where your code goes from the old version  so for example this code that I use to just put between <b></b> in  in the old Smangii side table code  in the page header of the page i wanted it on

What's the URL to your forum?

Pasting that into one of your sidebar's boxes should work. Make sure the plugin is enabled, the Enabled checkbox is checked for the sidebar you're modifying, and the box is set to either Style 1 or Style 2.

Hi Brian, two one tiny question. Somehow I was able to make the sidebars show up on every page, only now I changed my mind and would like them to NOT show up on the menu pages (Profile, Members, etc)... how can I achieve this? 

Also, the shoutbox sidebar has a funny white border around it. How can I get rid of it? Problem solved

Thank you for answering that part brian and I apologize for my snippiness; this upgrade has been hard on me, hh. But the reason why I am having to post with different guest names (Today I completely forgot I could do that!) is because since before my last post here last night, I get the angry bear message any time I try to log into ANY of my Proboards accounts. This is all of what I have tried & the results:
*logging into my admin account-angry bear
*logging into my global account-angry bear
*creating another account to link-account created, angry bear when clicked on
*creating another global Proboards account with a different email-won't let me, keeps showing my current SCP one
*Posting to the Proboards FB page-absolutely no response all day
*having 2 staff members (each in states different from me & each other) try to sign into my admin-angry bear
*Tried accessing my Admin Recovery Panel-get to where it says it will get me to my headers & footers-angry bear
*Restarting both my computer & modem-no change
*going through Chrome, Firefox & IE-angry bear
*checking the server status page on Proboards-green "all is well"

Obviously this is really frustrating to me and disappointing as well. Also, while I'm pretty sure I can't be that close to my limit, I'm guessing every time I go back & can't get in, I am counting toward my 50,000 views I get ad-free that I paid for for January?

Please help me get back into my board; as I miss it so

Did I get in trouble somehow? I re-read the policies today & I didn't see anything I could have possibly done.

Depends on the page. But your answer lies in proboards.data('route').name.

View the source of your forum on a page you want to hide the sidebar on. Find the part of the code that looks like this (search for "route" and you'll usually find it):


You'll want the name in quotes directly after name. So in the case of the profile and members pages, it would be user and members respectively. Then you would add them into the following Global Header code like so:

Every time you want to add a new page to the code's blacklist, get its route and add it via || pb_route == "name" between the parenthesis and it should work.
