Can I have a sidebar collapsed by default? Not through the settings, but it should be possible using Javascript.

This is actually a lot easier to make than I predicted. This goes in your Global Header. If you want a certain container to be collapsed by default add its ID to the list at the beginning of the code below. Each entry must be separated by a comma and enclosed in quotation marks like the example IDs.

I'm not sure how to search the thread for my question, sorry if it's been answered a lot.
How do I change the height of each sidebar? Make them all the same general length with scrollbars?
I know the DIV function but when I change the height it doesn't provide a bar for scrolling down...

This should work if you place it at the bottom of Themes > Advanced Styles & CSS > Style Sheet or in your global header between <style> tags. The number in green is your preferred height. Replace each instance of left with right if you want it done for the right sidebar instead.

Okay, so I feel like i'm just missing a bit of something, but I just updated the sidebar, and now the width of the sidebar isn't changing, no matter what I have it set on. It seems to be stuck at around 200px wide, though i had it set at 300. I have been playing with it, and even if I set it to lower, it still sticks to the around 200 wide. I tried making my board bigger, but nothing happened when the sidebar is set to a different size, i can refresh the page and it works for a second before shifting back to the smaller size. site: sabishiweyr.boards.net/

Disable the one that you're not using and the settings should apply properly.

There's a code in the opening post of this thread that accomplishes that. Hi, I have a stupid question, I have Version 1.3.1 of this plugin - can I install the new one without loosing all my data? Thanks Yup! Any time you install a newer version of a plugin you had installed previously the forum will ask you if you wish to import your settings from the one you had installed.

Are there any problems using this on Apple's Safari browser? I have a member who can't access the sidebar links I have on my forum (oakleafholt.boards.net) and she says she's using Safari...not mobile, on an actual desktop.

I have a member who can't access the sidebar links I have on my forum (oakleafholt.boards.net) and she says she's using Safari...not mobile, on an actual desktop. There shouldn't be. The sidebar constructed using extremely basic HTML tags. However, there are several problems with the HTML you've added to each of your containers. - Two different elements cannot have the same ID (you've given the ID sidetables to several elements) - <align> is not a valid HTML tag - Lines break tags should be <br />, not </br>- Your links should have quotation marks around the URL in their href attribute - Several of your images have a space before the = symbol of their height attribute - <img> tags do not require closing </img> tags Also if you'd like to clean it up a bit you can get rid of the tables and their related tags in each container. They don't really serve a purpose in their current state.
