Does this plug-in need any extras to make it work smoothly? Or does it have conflict with particular themes? I'm using this theme and I'm having some issues with the sidebar. I added the sidebar to the left side, and the forum stretched out entirely. I tried making the "side bar" narrow, so that the problem wouldn't occur, but..It didn't seem to work. I had to disable the plug-in because I was getting a lot of really worried and panicked messages from members. But, I was wondering if you knew what was the cause of this? Or how I can fix it? Screenshots of adding the slidebar to the left: - i.imgur.com/gHPd85M.png- i.imgur.com/VmwNZuX.pngAs you can see..It seems that the sidebar makes the first category and board smaller, so that it can fit in..Then the boards go back to their regular size...Then go giant (stretching to as wide as your screen is) I thought that perhaps I had massively messed up..But, then I saw another forum with the same theme as me who had the same issue. Except, I don't think they've used your plug-in, they used the "recent threads" plug-in, which I don't have on my forum. But, they both have similar ideas..So, that made me think that perhaps there might be conflict between the plug-in and theme? But.. The theme had no installed plug-ins when I downloaded it. So, I'm unsure. I wasn't too sure if this was the correct place to post either..Or whether it should be on the theme thread. I think it's mostly regarding the plug-in as when the plug-in is disabled, there are no issues. HERE is my forum. And here is the other forum, with the same theme, that I saw the issues on.

Perolf: The plugin works fine standalone on the default ProBoards theme and has almost no dependencies. The only one I can think of is that the $[header] and $[footer] variables of the Forum Wrapper template must be children of the same parent element, which is usually the case on the default theme. With any plugin, whether or not it's going to work well with the forum layout is going to be dependent on how the theme you're using is designed and whether or not any other plugins/codes obstruct the layout. All plugins that I've created are designed to work perfectly with the default theme that comes with your forum. I unfortunately cannot account for a theme designer drastically changing their own theme and restructuring the HTML or CSS in a way that interferes with how the plugin displays as there's a million ways you can restructure the HTML in the layout templates. Ultimately, it's up to the theme author to decide whether or not to design their themes in a way that makes them compatible with certain plugins, and responsible plugin authors should ensure that their plugins work properly with the default forum layout in order to ensure consistent results across themes that don't deviate too much from the default templates.

Brian, Is there any fix after moving the shoutbox to a side about the timestamp of shoutbox posts? It seems they get cut off, due to the narrower size of the side blocks. Also, I'd like to know, can the info center be moved to side blocks? I'd actually like all 4 sections into a block each.

Add this to the bottom of Themes > Advanced Styles & CSS > Style Sheet to fix the timestamps cutting off. The info center only shows on certain pages. It's not possible to make it show in the sidebar on every page.

You've probably been asked something similar before but here goes. I want to have a custom page as the homepage on my forum but I still want the side bar to ONLY display on the forum page, is this possible?

You can type hide or display in the search bar of this thread to find most of the hiding codes I've posted, but you'll probably want the one in this post: support.proboards.com/post/5208118Place it in the HTML tab of your custom page to hide the sidebar on it.

For some reason, when i try to install it onto my forum, it brings me to a page that says this, Invalid request token / possible request forgery (error 4). If you received this message in error, please go back, refresh, and try again.

If you received this message in error, please go back, refresh, and try again. Have you tried it in your browser's private browsing mode? You can open a private browsing/incognito window with either Ctrl+Shift+N or Ctrl+Shift+P depending on your browser. If it works in that window, it'll indicate that one of your browser's cookies may be corrupt which you can fix by clearing them. Note that this will log you out of anything you're currently logged into.
