When will the first day when we can "create" a V5 forum? I need a development forum...I am guessing we have to wait for the official release day right?

You can "create" a v4 forum on Jan 28th, then just go into the admin area and hit the "upgrade" button to go to v5.

Just click "Admin" at the top of your forum, and above the contest details the link appears.

and that is if I am an appointed admin, you do not have to be the forum main admin right?

You must be the "admin" account to see the link and upgrade the forum.

We are supposed to go v5 today (as I understand it). How will I know if and when this has gone into effect?

Go to your admin panel, there it will say that you can convert and then click on the link and the conversion will be set in motion.

Forced conversion does not start until late April.  To get it done today or any day before April, you have to do it manually yourself through your admin panel.

Could you spare a few more breadcrumbs? I'm ready and happy to do it myself but don't know where to go or what to look for.

Help please.
