Select which themes to apply/enable a plugin on when you upload the plugin. I for one constantly forget that by default, a plugin will be on ALL themes.
PLEASE PLEASE give us the feature so that as soon as it says "installation successful", it has a bit for "Select the theme(s) to enable this plugin on:" then you of course select.

We will discuss some sort of link or reminder but this is essentially something you need to do.
It's a lot like asking for us to add a reminder to pull the parking break in your car after you park somewhere new. You should just get in the habit of doing it everywhere you go. You have a new car and it's going to take some getting used to, that includes creating good habits like going to the plugins area once you have finished calibrating the theme in the theme area.
Also it's not as if you aren't going to notice (in most cases) that plugins are on. Most forum admins most of the time want most plugins turned on. That's why it's the default. You need to learn to go turn things off if you don't want them.
