Brian noted in another thread (here) that this is something our devs are looking into. So if you need an immediate fix, then yes. Otherwise unfortunately you'll have to wait until a fix has been put in place (no ETA at this point in time).

No, not a true 'need'.. was trying to center the personal text in the mini profile. and I'm unable to do it because of the save error. I really don't feel like going through all that just to center the text right now.

*editing to add that I did this on for one theme on my beta board.. and I can't seem to center the 'personal text' regardless. Changing it from "left" to "center" in visual editor does absolutely nothing. So, I'm definitely not going to go through all that when there's no benefit.

Sorry to say, but that code in your first post does not work for me. *bet i did something wrong*

Think I'll wait with some of the others here, to get that fix so I can change the visual background colors.

I was able to make the changes, etc, and follow all of ricky's steps. but i was still unable to center the personal text in the mini profile. i'm doing this through visual editor, in the miniprofile section, personal text area. it doesn't matter what I do, it stays on the left. something is still not working right.

I tried it in Firefox and it saved (although some other bits didn't work lol). Also tried in IE and everything worked fine too. So it's just Chrome that I get the error message in now. Is this the case for everyone?

Random question: When I make the switch to v5, will there be no time at all for me to make any amendments before it goes live. It's just a bit annoying that I have a lot of work to do on it and the members will see it before hand. There are so many things I need to get ready...

You could put it into maintenance mode before you convert. I think it would still be in maintenance mode when it's done. Then you can work on it w/o anyone seeing it.
