Lightly Parsed BBCode Tastes Great

I wonder if it would be too difficult to allow light bbcode in the description and plain text fields on the plugins settings page. As it is now it doesn't even acknowledge line feeds. I know earlier in the development process it used to at least accept new lines and convert them to <br> (nl2br) but it doesn't even do that now making it quite clumsy. The ability to format and add emphasis to these things goes a long way to enhancing the clarity of the information you're trying to convey
