Hi there,
My forum was just upgraded early this morning and you did a fantastic job! I couldn't believe how fast it was and everything looks great and seems to be working perfectly!
I did have one question, though... in the previous version, we had an option to replace a member's rank with a custom title, something that a lot of our members actually requested. In this version, it seems that you actually have both on their profile (if they've chosen a custom title) and I've had a few people ask if there's a way to get rid of their rank without erasing their post count?
I believe it was just a setting option in the previous version but I don't see one anywhere in the admin area, nor under the profile editing options, and I'm just wondering if there's a way to do this anymore.
Thank you for your help!

Hi, qotc. I got this figured out last night but I couldn't find this thread again. In your admin panel, go to Structure > Layout Templates > Mini-Profile. Replace everything above $[user.warning.bar] with this: This will replace member ranks with custom titles if they have them. If the member is a staff member, their group will display, then their custom title will be shown below it. You'll need to make this change on every theme of your forum.

Sorry to revive an old thread, but this is pretty much what I'm looking for. The only thing I would like to do differently is still keep the stars while having a custom title in place of the standard ranks, and also have it on the main profile page as well. Is this possible?

Hi, admj. Following the same instructions, give this code a try in place of the one mentioned previously:

Oh, I missed the part where you wanted it on the main profile.
Structure > Layout Templates > Main Profile
Find the section that starts with <div class="float-left"> and replace its contents with the code in green:

Thanks for the help so far. This has given me what I was looking for, but now I am unable to add any custom profile fields. Is that because of the changes made? Is it still possible to have them?

Sorry, I wasn't in on Friday. I'm usually the one that handles customization questions of this sort. Can you link me to the forum in question? I'll have a look at your layout templates.

Sorry for not replying back. I think I've got it worked out, but if I have any other questions I'll post back. Thanks so much so far.
