Haha, sorry, well, if the old version seems to be working, just use that. In the meantime, I'll have to figure this out on my own. But IT DOES NOT WORK CONSISTENTLY. That is the problem.

I need you guys to do a little testing for me. First, create a bookmark with this as the url javascript: window.alert( $( '[name="theme_id"]' ).html().replace( /selected=""/, "" ) );
Then, go to your profile >> edit >> settings and click on the bookmark. Then tell me if it does anything. I tried this for you on my test forum. I did get the pop-up using this method. I did not get the T in the corner to use the plugin.

Tressa: Thanks for trying the bookmark for me, it narrows the problem down. Actually...I might have found the problem. xP I think I forgot to declare a namespace variable before I used it. I'll upload a new version to this thread in a few hours and we'll see if that doesn't fix the whole thing.

Texas, I removed the Theme Changer today. It worked great for me. I could change themes either using the red T or in my profile Settings. But today, a member could not access a new theme I had installed. Then I realized I had not added it to the Theme Changer. I didn't have any idea how to do that, so I just deleted the plugin and loaded it again and followed the directions and that worked. The new theme showed up in the Theme Changer. But what bothered me was that the member no longer had access to her ability to change themes in her profile settings. I think it might be a browser specific thing and probably quite complicated. I had seen comments about this before, but since I didn't have such a problem, I think I shrugged it off. I think this is a lovely idea for a plugin, but I am wondering if it is one of those things that is just not going to work with all the different browsers. I will be following developments.

I think it takes the place of having to go through settings to change it. That is why the plug in is so great when it works. Is saves a lot of time. Texas, how is the fix coming along?

This may be the reason why Texas has not replied: linkI'm quite sure he will look into this before departing as it is one great plugin.

This may be the reason why Texas has not replied: linkI'm quite sure he will look into this before departing as it is one great plugin. You really think so? Its been MONTHS. You'd think he would at least let people in this thread know. Especially since he was on, on Aug 18th. Four days after he was tagged to this very thread. I get that plug ins are a voluntary thing, I do the same with graphics and themes, but you don't jack people around for months then decide to disappear without telling them that you don't know how to fix a plug in with issues. Now that its been abandoned, maybe some other coder will pick it up and fix it.

I apologize for forgetting about this thread. It was not my intention to leave people hanging, I somehow thought I'd made it clear I was not around, but I now see that I have not. I will get this plugin working for you, sorry for the inconvenience.

Thank you. I just installed it on my forum. Since this plug in sometimes worked and then would quit working, it may take some time to know if its fixed or not. Thank you for getting back to us.

Just remember, this plugin REQUIRES YOOTIL.
For those of you who weren't able to see the button, that may have been the problem.
