It'd be nice if we could have it show the total count of members that match our current filter. For example, when viewing all, it'd tell us how many members we have in total. When viewing staff, it'd tell us how many staff members we have. When searching, it'd give us the total results there as well.
This is in part to qualm some complaints regarding not easily being able to know the total number of members active in the last 24 hours.

I'll second this! I'm one of the ones who's upset that the ' active users in the last 24 hours' is missing from V5. I think this from Chris is a good suggestion/compromise! Here's the thread/discussion about this feature being missing in V5

the good news is it shouldn't be hard. They already load that data to calculate the number of pages.

Please stand by.

Still standing by . . . . No sign of anything on this front then? Users Online in The Last 24 Hours was added weeks ago. From the homepage of Support right now. Invisible members have been blurred out.You can clearly see there were 25 Staff, 438 and 3,546 guests in the last 24 hours.

Existing templates need to be updated by the forum themselves. We don't push automatic changes out to templates to avoid breaking peoples layouts. Here's a link to instructions. support.proboards.com/post/5196264

And this is why we need an update log so we can be notified of updates... But this still doesn't answer the original request. However, now that we have the template variable request thread, I'll move it there.

And this is why we need an update log so we can be notified of updates... But this still doesn't answer the original request. However, now that we have the template variable request thread, I'll move it there. Anyone creating a new theme, template or forum automatically has the additional piece of the info center. Anyone asking about it gets instructions. Anyone else doesn't care enough to ask, so they won't care enough to read a list of hundreds of changes. Even if we did post it somewhere, we've found time and again that people don't read. We get questions about things in threads where we posted the answers in the opening post. We also don't have the time to post an update log. In the last 2 weeks we completed over 200 bugs and tasks. No one would read through all that and we don't have time to copy and paste it all. Not to mention something like the example here requires a post that occupies an entire screen with instructions. We can't do that for everything. Post launch when we have more time there will be a changelog with each update. But during the beta we are focused on getting the software to launch. Until then, if someone has a question we'll answer it, and if not then it must not be a big deal. Giving too much information can be worse than giving none. If you counter that you think people would read the list, then I counter that we wouldn't have time for the flood of questions we'd then have to address about the list. The users online was a very prominent thread for many days and was easily searchable when I typed it in. Someone looking could have found the info. And as you can see someone asking was linked with no complaints or criticism. I hope that explains it. Thank you. Edit: I never said anything regarding the original request. And I do see the variable request you posted.

Ryan, I should clarify. I meant an update list solely for modified templates, which does not include all of the bugs, etc. In fact, something as simple as "These variables were added on MM/DD/YYYY" would be enough to satisfy me. The variables thread we have here already is invaluable in keeping me up to date, but it doesn't take care of new additions that didn't go through the thread. The situation is best summarized as this: 1) I went and updated my info center a while back, BEFORE the feature was added. 2) I noticed the lack of the feature and went to PBS to request it 3) Found a related request thread where I was told it wouldn't be added 4) Wrote it off as not coming back So, I never made a new theme, template, or forum. I never looked at another v5 forum's IC (I don't look at PBS's IC at all.), so I would never see that this was added after being told it wouldn't be added. I don't browse new threads at PBS at all, so I never saw that above post. Anyways, point is, I'm not asking for a complete change log (though that'd be awesome and I would read it ), but just for a template variable's change log.

After launch the development guide will have a full list. We're still in Beta.

Thanks.
Some note of what has been updated would definitely be welcome. In this case I was just monitoring the original threads and there was nothing in them, so I assumed (wrongly) that nothing had happened for whatever reason.
