Eton, I am using the previous BBCode for the quick Reply and my smilies in the pull down list have stopped working for the Reply. This is the same for the PM area as well. Would this be relate to the BBCode Version 0.8.5 ? Or would I need to contact Todge on the matter since it is the smilies? Also I am an admin on JJ's site and we have noticed the same problem on her site. Thanks Chrissy The newer version I just posted is meant to make it more compatible (play nicer) with other plugins but I am seeing v0.8.5 on both of your forums. Also according to what Todge told me about starting to version stamp his plugins it appears you're running some pretty outdated versions and I suggest you update them to the latest. (I base this on not even seeing a version in the smiley plugin source) but Todge would know his code better than I would.

It's true that Todge's Smilie Plugin for JJ is not working in Reply on my site. support.proboards.com/thread/453560/page/2/old-additional-smilie-methodIt works fine in Quick Reply. But I wasn't even thinking of that and the UBBC plugin this evening. I was just wanting to get the UBBC plugin to line up on one line and not have the split. I did not think that it was anything to do with the UBBC code at all, but then, I'm pretty clueless about a lot of this plugin stuff and how they interact. But I suppose there could be something going on since the conversion. I do know that I had not problems at all with Todge's code till a few days ago? Perhaps there is a connection? For this evening... I think I will stick with your original UBBC plugin, Eton Bones, and see if I can fix the non-working Todge smilie code for me. There might be a connection, but I will tackle one issue at a time.

I had no idea that was something anybody would want but if you look at Tunes image attachment you'll see you can accomplish that with the nightly Thanks Tune, can you try redownloading, I updated to revision 814 on the nightly which should hopefully take care of those buttons not appearing on quick reply. I'm still in the dark trying to guess what you meant by "dont align with the input on the Posting Page" however. My guess is you're referring to the V5 styled popup inputs... And if that is the case then they are supposed to be centered on screen not really positioned relative to the button that invoked it.

Eton Bones, I did get that smilie icon if that is what you mean in the screenshot, but the plugin I got from Todge now only works in Quick Reply and not in the Reply area. It only happened a few days ago, up till then, the new smilie dropdown was working on Reply and Quick Reply with your earlier UBBC plugin, now, it only works in Quick Reply. This occurrence had nothing to do with your new plugin. I just had not addressed the issue yet with Todge. Sorry if there was any confusion.

i downloaded again and it shows up in the Quick Reply
im not sure if its my input or the way pbs is because the drop downs are a little to the left just as im looking at the Posting Page on pbs now, but id think it would line up(the first ubbc button), with the input below. you can see in my picture the buttons are a little to the left
is this just a trial version, the buttons arent in the same order and without a space?

Hey Eton, just a quick question and a yes/no answer will suffice - for now When using this plugin, should the quick reply show your own custom bbcode images? For example in the post page it shows custom images (the whole set, bold etc), yet in the quick reply, it only shows custom ones for custom BBCode added (such as a blockquote one)?

Indeed, everything is on trial until the verdict comes in. As for the buttons not having spaces that is because you added everything to one massive group and the font droppers to a separate group of their own. The spaces you see here on PBS between buttons are because they are in different groupings so if you want spaces then pull some of those buttons out of that massive group and add them to their own group. By the way that is how JJ said she wanted the buttons to look (no spaces) so to each his own. As for the positioning of the buttons, the plugin has no say in that it is just concerned with the sequence. So once it jumbles and reorders the buttons it then calls on the WYSIWYG subsystem to create the buttons if quick reply or just allow it to happen naturally on full posting page, the same way it would be created if no plugin was used. Whatever decision is made as to button positioning is made within the subsystem not the plugin.

I don't remember saying anything about no spaces, I mostly remembering wanting Font Face and Font size on the same line as the UBBC buttons to prevent an additional line going on, mainly because I normally use Quick Reply to post.
When you say there is no say in sequence, Eton, that got my attention. I was used to the Smilie Face being at the end, and now that has changed. I admit I have not spent a lot of time figuring out the new version, but that was a bit different for me, when it was in the middle of the other icons. I am hoping I can figure out how to move the smilie to the end and more familiar and usable for my members.
Sometimes, I think I get in over my head and just need to walk away, and this is one of those times.... ***JJ goes off to watch a rerun of Magnum PI.***

That depends on what you have ticked while in settings, if you look at the images I posted you'll see that custom buttons can now independently be chosen to go to "quick", "preview" or "bbcode" (or any combination) while at the same time it can be forced into a group using the group's name as the index (this feature reported buggy right now). Groups can also be independently associated with the various editors, this means for example if you have a group set for "visual" only but tied to a custom button set for all three then on "visual" the custom button will be located inside the group and then by itself on the other two editors. This behavior is still inline with previous versions since custom buttons were loners unless you assigned it to a group using its index field I don't remember saying anything about no spaces, I mostly remembering wanting Font Face and Font size on the same line as the UBBC buttons to prevent an additional line going on, mainly because I normally use Quick Reply to post. When you say there is no say in sequence, Eton, that got my attention. I was used to the Smilie Face being at the end, and now that has changed. Sometimes, I think I get in over my head and just need to walk away, and this is one of those times.... ***JJ goes off to watch a rerun of Magnum PI.*** I misunderstood your use of "split" to mean wanting no spaces between buttons as Tunes had it in his pic I was just wanting to get the UBBC plugin to line up on one line and not have the split I had no idea that was something anybody would want but if you look at Tunes image attachment you'll see you can accomplish that Splitting, in the sense that you're using it however is dictated by the amount of space available for the buttons and is automatically done by the browser if not enough space. As for sequence that is determined by how you create your control groupings. Tunes was referring to the "position" of the button which the plugin has no control over but it definitely exerts control over the sequencing based on what you do on the settings tabs so if you want the smileys in the last group at the end then add it to the last group you create. The sequence of created groups dictates the sequence of buttons.

Thank you for the explanation, Eton. I went back to an earlier version and for some reason, my additional smilies are now working, at least at my test site! Yippee.
