Not sure if its a plug-in, template or header/footer thing. Not a true coder. But I need to have the 10/15 most recent posts link back my members are clamoring for it. As most use it regularly to see even posts they are not participating in.

It never left. It's called Recent Posts. It's in the Info Center, on the home page, in the same place where it's always been. Right at the bottom of Threads & Posts Section of Forum Statistics.

There's also Recent Threads in that same area. And Members now have their Participated button in the upper right of the forum that shows their recent threads they were participating in.

In addition to what Ryan has posted, in v5 you can create custom menu items, so if your members want the menu item back, create a custom menu item and point it to the recent posts or threads URL.
