Karma System [Library Support]

Hi, shorty:

Karma plug-in is working like a charm, except for a single user. Her karma is at 153, and when people exalt her, it adds the number onto the end of the 153. So, instead of going to 154, it goes to 1531.

Do I need to reinstall, you think? She's the only user of 114 that is affected.

For the last few days I've been using images within the Add Karma Text and Take Karma Text fields and noticed that those images are also showing below the top ones at times and the only way to get them to show normal (side by side) is to refresh that page.

This is the image settings, minus the images themselves:

Add Karma Text - <img src="url to image">

Take Karma Text - <img src="url to image">

Example:



When adding just text within those fields, everything is working okay.

It just may be a loading problem on my end.

Hey there Shorty. I'm using the latest version of the plugin, and although I like its present functionality - which works beautifully - it would be splendid if there were some way to Exalt/Smite offered in the user's profile. I'm not referring to Staff's ability to directly edit Karma in the Staff Options; I'm suggesting adding the ability for anyone to Exalt/Smite on someone's profile. All too often, I find that I (or others) want to give someone Karma, but don't want to be bothered to find a post by them, so we look them up on the member list, or click to view their profile some other way, only to remember there's no Exalt/Smite option there.

So I think it'd be just awesome if you added the ability to do that~

Ace Of Charts Alright, where exactly would you want that to be placed in the profile? On what tab? All tabs, only the summary tab,etc?

It would be awesome if you could simply place it to the right of their current Karma count. I can think of nowhere more appropriate to put it.

shorty heres what i want my miniprofile to look like. i dont know how plugins work in relation to whats in the template, but if you cant do it with the plugin couldnt you work around stuff with adding something to my template

i want Add Karma under Send Message so forget about where it says send message in the pic

add karma
social networks
number of likes
karma given

id want what ace just requested in the profile for my copy

and can you please take the Add Karma out of the members miniprofile, you dont give yourself karma

It won't let you Exalt/Smite yourself anyway. If you attempt to click Exalt/Smite on your own mini-profile, it comes up with a message reminding you that "You can't change your own karma." Also, if you don't mind my saying, I think that removing the options for it in the user's own mini-profile, as much sense as it would make, would give that feeling that there's just something not consistent about the way the mini-profiles look.

Might be useful though to have a checkbox option for it added to the admin panel, so forums can use/not use that feature as they like.

I'm not sure if you're aware of this or not,
but whenever someone Prevs a page it appears more karma things.

I'm aware of it, but I can't think of how to fix it. I have been looking at it, to see what I could do, but i can't think of anything. I have been waiting on proboards to add a callback for pagination to see if that would fix it.

Not that I know of. But you could try and ask some of the admins if it's possible.

This is excellent, but is it possible for it to be hidden completely from guests. At the moment the wording karma/smite is visible and where guests see the value it reads 'undefined' for guests.
