Even with the new global account system we're still getting "Kitchen" spam posts... however our moderator team is not keen on approving accounts. New signups are often parrot owners who have an urgent question and want it "off their chest" right away.
Is it possible to add a feature to manually approve the first post(s)? That way kitchen spammers won't be visible, and new signups can ask their questions right away, all a moderator has to do is approve their initial post(s)
Could do it like this: (BTW, this option REALLY should go under Members or Security)

The person who makes the post will get a friendly reminder that only this once their post will be approved manually, after which they are free to participate unlimited.
If a spammer signs up and posts several messages, they can be banned and all their posts deleted in one go, without anybody except the moderator team having been aware of their spam.

However a quick search will reveal that we are hardly the only ones
