Add Poll to an existing thread

I would like to be able to add a poll to an existing thread please - possible in v4.5.  

Each month we have a poll/s to decide on the best nominated photo, the winning photo/s are then copied to a locked thread, each month, then at the end of the year I add a poll to decide on the best photo of the year.  

Example:  wellieswheelbarrows.proboards.com/post/121039/thread

If you edit the first post in any thread you can add a poll, an event or an attachemnt.

Oh really - I tried to add a poll to an existing thread today but couldn't, maybe because it was started before converting to v5. I'll check that out thanks Maiden.

I can add a poll to threads created pre-conversion. The button is next to the subject box. You probably just missed it or weren't editing the first post.
