"New" button

In the admin theme manager I can find every image except that one. I would like to change it to something more bold and bright. Am i missing something?

The "new" icon is actually not an image. It is a <span> with the class .new-icon. You can use a CSS selector to change it. if you need help with CSS, check in the code and plugin boards.

Just to add to RedBassett. You can edit the text for this (colour, weight, style) simply. Just go to Admin > Themes > Colors and Styles > Content (body) > New icons

That's possible.

Try adding this to the bottom of your style sheet in Themes > Advanced Styles & CSS > Style Sheet.

.threads .item.new .new-icon {
    background: url("http://i57./g229/dtroseth/CatGeeks/bbeb0e21.png") no-repeat scroll center center transparent;
    display: inline-block;
    height: 30px;
    width: 27px;
}
.threads .item.new .new-icon a {
    color: transparent !important;
    display: block;
    height: 100%;
    width: 100%;

Copy, thanks.  I think I'll stick with the default CSS button for now.  It has soooo many color and look configs I'm fine with it.

it changes only in the "Legend", otherwise it seems I'm unable to change its font...

puts the chosen icon really everywere, even if there's nothing new to read...

while trying to implement this "new" button, I did something somewhere and now I have this on my member screen.  How do I get rid of it??

I get that anomaly when I add the image url to collapsible categories (when categories are collapsed)?

OK, I figured it out on my own.


I somehow linked my Tabs to that "new" image by mistake. All is well now thanks again!
