hey Shorty, when i activate the plugin, it puts <span></span> around all of my brackets. i have used this plugin before and love it to bits, but i'm not sure why it's giving me this problem this time. if you need a link to the forum, i have no problem PM'ing you, and thanks in advance for any help you can offer!

I was wondering if anyone has found a way to fix this? ^^ I'm having the same problem as well. At first I thought it was the Google Fonts Plugin messing it up because sometimes it works and then others it doesn't and the code box looks really large in this particular thread, but I took out the font that the person had been using and they claimed that they were still getting spammed with the <span>.  Any help is appreciated!

The way that I fixed this problem was going into my Forum Plugin "manage" page and moving the code up to the top of the list of plugins that you have on that page.



See how it is the top plugin? That was how I got it to work. I only found this out because I had the code on two different sites with the same exact plugins and on one site it worked fine and on the other site it didn't and the only difference was where it was located on my list of plugins.

Try that out and see if it works because it worked for me! xoxo

i've figured out that moving the plugin around on the order list has seemed to solve the problem for me, Tracy. the span tags disappeared when i moved it up to the top of my list of plugins. they ended up reappearing when i added the word counter plugin to my forum (but i was once again able to remove them by moving the word counter above the highlightable code plugin that was already at the top)

i'm not sure if that made any sense, but this is the strange fix that i have found seems to work? it appears that having plugins ordered around it seems to mess with the display, not that i understand why

I use this plugin on my board but all of a sudden there's a small problem. The plugin worked just fine for the longest of time. Now some of the highlightable boxes show the content inside it, others do not.

Example:



The first code use to work and nothing was changed about it. However, it's not showing up and the second one is.

Is it a possible bug? Or something? Because I haven't added any new plugins or changed anything about the plugins. It just suddenly started doing this. And I'm not the only member it is doing it to so others on my board are seeing this too.

false alarm it was just a browser problem, if you're using google chrome check to see if it's up to date.

How do you alter the layout of the 'highlight code' button?

tried

button.highlight { style }

I just want it to be really small text with grey background instead of the general 'button' layout.

This makes a lot of things easier on my site but I am having trouble getting the box to expand to the full height I have it set to. I have it set to 300px by 300px and while all the other code boxes work around my site there is one that will not expand and show all of the code for the joining application to my site. Is there a capacity limit for how much code it can handle without breaking?

I am also having problems with the plugin. I've tried moving the plugin around (maybe there's an incompatible one somewhere?) line by line to see if it made a difference.

Always, it's one of two outcomes - either the box is sized oddly and the button goes missing or the box appears as it should, but it's littered with <span> tags
