Not sure if this has been covered anywhere (searched and couldn't find it)... 1. When selecting the 'Build' option in the Plugin Manager of Proboards admin, I cannot select VDice to edit and therefore have no access to the CSS to control the size/colors etc of the text output. 2. I have switched on the Previewable Dice option, but when generating a roll (e.g. 1d20+5) the output given on the preview graphic is the total only (e.g. 17). However, when saving the thread post, the output displayed for everyone else to view is formatted in the form of 'dieroll + modifier = total' (e.g. 12+5=17) How can I format the same output for use in the previewable dice? I hope I've explained myself clearly enough!

This is one of the many upgrades being made in v2.0.0, which I'll release sometime before the end of September this year (i.e. in the next 45 days). The plugin should be editable. It's possible that I forgot to check that setting when I uploaded the latest version, but I seem to recall that you need to download a special, editable copy of the plugin from the library, under "Download Editable Copy". This will presently only give you the ability to configure the CSS appearance of previewable rolls, not the text they contain.

Rather than download the editable copy now, I'll just wait for version 2.0.0 to release as it sounds like it will be more fully featured. Really appreciate your time and effort on this plugin!

kaima: I'm not able to reproduce the problem on my home board and unfortunately the links you've provided above have expired. Could you provide a link to a page where dice are viewable on your board? TYIA

Oh boy. Okay, please check this: reignofalmear.proboards.com/post/1149Is it possible that the issue is due to the fact that I am putting the dice in spoiler tags? Edit: I guess not. Just posted a skill check in the same thread at the following URL: reignofalmear.proboards.com/post/1203No spoiler tags; however, result still displays differently in Google Chrome and Mozilla.

Do you have any idea what this might be caused by? It is very confusing since we use dice quite often. Are you aware if there are other plugins that I can try and use as dice?

Hey all! So I'm hoping to get a little help with dice! Currently, I am using VDice (Standard Die Edition) and it works beautifully. However, I wanted to add a secondary dice system to our site but I don't think that VDice is able to support that? Is there a separate plugin, or a way to get two separate dice systems onto a single forum? Our forum is a Dragonball Z roleplay forum, and our current dice is set so that members can search for the dragonballs and collect them all. This secondary dice system would be to generate enemies for specific jobs taken on by players. Please see this thread, which is the forum I would like to add the secondary dice system on. This is how we currently have Vdice set up. and please see here for an example of the secondary dice system we would like to use (this site is also owned by myself) Does V dice support something like this? Could it support something like it?

kaima: I'll look into the issue today. Aeryes: VDice would currently support another system via the extension plugin "VDice Advanced". However, I'm going to be coming out with v2.0.0 of VDice sometime before the end of September and it simplifies having multiple sets of dice greatly. My recommendation would be to wait for v2.0.0 to come out. I'll be sure to include plenty of examples of custom dice, more sophisticated rolls, etc.

kaima : I've published v1.1.6 of VDice and VDice SDE to the library, which should fix the problem. You can also download either version here: VDice 1.1.6.pbp (17.34 KB) VDice Standard Die Edition 1.1.6.pbp (231.4 KB) There are no required settings changes. For reasons of backward compatibility, all dice inserted prior to this version will retain their original values, which may be inconsistent across browsers. Dice inserted with this version and later use a modified random number generator that should be consistent across all browsers. If you wish to convert dice inserted with older versions to using the new RNG, you'll need to load them into the editor and then save them again. Please let me know if you experience any problems with the updated version.
