I have discovered that the tables aren't quite as functional as they were in v4. While the code is fixed to be more smooth, I would love for the addition of floating text so that I can use header images like this i48.tinypic.com/wmcjk3.jpgOr even if this could be a plugin someone would like to make, that would be great. A lot of roleplay communities would be very grateful.

If you have a plugin request then you need to make it in the plugin request board.
I'm not sure I exactly understand what it is you're saying about tables. Based on your screenshot it looks like you're talking about HTML for around your forum. We haven't changed anything about HTML. We don't control HTML. Tables should work the same as always (always meaning since whenever the last update to HTML was). Or at least the logic should. You might also want to look into the Template Mods board. Modifying the frame of your forum is far more a template mod than a plugin.

That's working exactly as it should. Your top image has a ton of space at the bottom of it. Hence the giant gap. Then you successfully repeated the background for the middle. And capped it with a small image at the bottom. The table is working exactly perfectly in every way. Your images are the issue if the large space is what you are showing me as an example. You didn't say anything, so I'll guess that's what your problem is. Edit: Just to clarify my previous post I originally thought you ware talking about your forums HTML, but tables in BBCode are exactly perfect as well. The code above is working exactly as it has been told as well.

Without seeing the original code, you could just set it as the background-image and then add some padding to the top. If you needed another image to start tiling below it, just add it as a second background.

I can't tell you how it used to work. Especially without seeing the code, like Shrike said. That being said I can tell you that right now everything is working exactly how it should be. Things are displaying exactly as they are being told to display. Are you sure you didn't have some code or mod on your forum before that was effecting how these things displayed? If you did it's likely still sitting in your archived header and footers. Perhaps you could request a plugin or code to help fix it if you have a lot of old posts formatted this way. But I'd really suggest conforming to the new correct standard. To my knowledge not a thing changed with regards to tables besides options we offer. I know now that we conform to proper web standards. But as I said, it is my impression that old tables still conformed to web standards before as well. Additionally, you aren't really using tables at all. I went in and broke apart your code. You have malformed tags and incorrect formatting in just a spot or two. That being said things are exactly as they are being told to display. Like Shrike said you might want to try making it a background image with padding at the top. Then use your bottom image to cap off the end.

Alright, I'll look into it, thanks.
Just so you know we didn't originally post this in this section. It was moved here, by a moderator.
