Exclude Threads from 'Particpated'

First off I want to point out that I like the Participated feature, but there is one thing about it that I cant stand, and thats the fact that you can exclude certain threads from it. Normally it wouldnt be a problem but when you have made a post in a thread like "What Are You Listening To?" it can get quite annoying since it almost always says new.

I have looked around and if it is already a feature than I apologize for not looking harder. Also I know that you can disable it but it's quite useful minus that one thing. So basically I would like there to be an option to remove threads from appearing there.

There are already a dozen or so features requested and planned for an upgrade of the participated menu. This includes what you are asking for. The update proboably will not happen until one of the first v5.x updates after launch.
