News Fader text controls

The news fader seems to be an important part of many people's forums.  It would be great to have an EASY way to specify text font, size, and color when entering news items, similar to the controls available when posting to a thread.  I understand that this may already be possible with some code tweaks, but I'm thinking in terms of users who aren't comfortable modifying code. 

Also, maybe an easy method to specify the size of the news fader without messing with code, maybe just a couple of settings where the width and height is specified.

Actually the coding is pretty easy.. I'm a 59 year old Carpenter and not too savvy..

The news feed for now is intentionally simple.

At a future date we may go back and add more options. But for now it is meant to be simple, plain and to the point. As you said you can modify it with codes and through the template. For those users not comfortable with codes they will just have to wait until we make improvements later on.

Heck, the last time I did any real serious programming on a computer was using Fortran.... so it's been awhile.
