Ricky, would that code also work in the staff profile area? so I could add a couple of extra places for further info Not Ricky. The code you quoted goes in the actual member list that comes up when clicking Members in the menu. The rest is for the actual user profile and should be universally applicable to every <tr> on there that separates the info (like how it is in the example screenshot). Can you clarify what you mean by the staff profile area? Staff profiles are the same as regular profiles. My bad mistake not Ricky. Brian You Da man. To clarify what I'm looking for is for Admin use only, I'd like to be able to add extra fields so I can add extra information. Also Brian on some mini profiles I see the little gizmo indicating man (blue) woman (pink) I cannot find that setting, do I need to have my eyes re checked?

What extra information would you like to add? And do you want only staff to be able to view it or do you want it to be visible to everyone?
Keep in mind that profiles already have a section called Staff Notes for staff-only use.
The blue and pink icons are the gender icons. Their particular images can be changed in Themes > Theme Manager > Images. To change them to text, you'd need to edit the Layout Template they're in.

I was looking for the ability to add custom fields as can be done in other parts of V5. The gender, where is the field to add the Male/Female etc it doesn't seem to be an automatic thingo thepride.boards.net

Members can choose to hide or display their gender.
So Brian and I have mine showing here on Support but you don't.

I'm only wanting certain fields to show up. The other thing that I'm running into, that I've tried to play with, but haven't managed to successfully figure out, is that with these custom fields, if they're text areas and there's a lot of text in them, then the title for that area is centered against all the text, instead of the at the top. There's no line or anything to indicate a seperation between the fields, and so the text all starts to blend together. Is there any way to top align those custom field titles that I'm missing? I've tried a multitude of things, but so far, I haven't had any luck. Or is there a way, perhaps, to put a line seperator between them? Thanks. Can you provide a screenshot of this so I understand what you mean? To make the custom field row target a specific value, replace my last code with this, substituting the text in red with the name you gave your custom field. Hey Ricky. I know I asked for this a while ago, but I just now got around to actually doing it. The member's list has the custom fields I want now, but I'm wanting to adjust the column widths on the custom fields. I had thought that the code in the CSS sheet would automatically adjust for the custom fields and add them in so I could adjust the percentages there, but that doesn't seem to have been the case.

STILL NOT RICKY. (this thread will be the death of me) Can you link to the forum you want this changed on? I won't be able to see what width to change unless I see exactly which class it's using.

In Structure > Layout Templates > Members, find the following lines: And change them to this: Now visit Themes > Advanced Styles & CSS > Style Sheet and add this to the bottom: Change the widths of each of these to whatever you'd prefer them to be. I've placed them in the same order as you have them on your forum for your convenience.

Is it possible to change one of the columns in the Member List to a small thumbnail of the avatars? Thanks! Is there a specific one you'd like to replace? I like this idea, so I will be willing to have a shot and try it. I'm confident it is possible. Just wanna know which column you'd like to replace, so then I can walk you through what to do (what to add, remove, change). Just heading down stairs for 15 mins, but if you've replied when i get back, I will have a go at this - shouldn't take me long once I start

That would be great if you could look at this for me, thanks! I'm looking at replacing a couple columns with other things - I want to add the Location as one column too for instance. The ones I'd would get rid of in order to replace with other things would be Date Registered (definitely), Username (probably), & Last Online (maybe). I think the size avatar is in the quote in your post would probably be a good size for this. Thanks so much! Basically, I'd like the columns to be like this: | Name | WVWA Membership | Location | Contact | Posts | a thumbnail of the Avatar | their Display Name | their Custom Title (Display specified text if they don't have a Custom Title) | their location | an icon for PM & Email Address at least, maybe FB & AIM, etc | # of posts
|
Where WVWA Membership column is, it would should the Custom Title I've entered for the user... but if they don't have a custom title, is it possible to do an if/else/then type thing where I could specify what it would display in that column if they didn't have anything entered int he Custom Title field? I'm sorry, I know this is more than my original question about replacing a column with avatars, but if you are able to help with this too, that'd be awesome!

If I asked for too much now Stinky666, I understand... I'd start with just the avatar column if that helps.
