In v4, you had the option to search a specific IP in the admin panel. At the time, we used this to see if a new member had an existing account. This function is no longer required, due to the functionality v5 offers.
However, I admin on another board that is invite only. Sometimes we'll get a new member with a user name we don't recognize. Often, members on the invite-only board come from *my* board (notmsnmoney.proboards.com), so if we don't recognize the user name, I search my member list for a match. If there is none (sometimes they do use different usernames on each board), I would normally search for the member's IP on my board to see if I find anything that way. In v5, we don't have a means to do that though- we can only search IPs based on known user names. Is that something that could be considered for the future?
