Its ok Ryan, even though I like the new v5 proboard look, I have come to realise that if I want everything controlled by me at a reasonable cost.. I will have to host everything from my main site.. Members can create and reply to posts on that, so that is what I will put my effort into in the future..

<meta name="robots" content="NOIDEX, NOFOLLOW,NOARCHIVE,NOSNIPPET,NOODP"> It successfully worked for me and I haven't been getting any crawlers, support.proboards.com/admin/themes/1/template/1 replace Support's url with your's you'll see the <head> tag, and you'll see the </head> tag below it, just put the meta tag right below the <head> tag. Temporarily take away guest must login(you must do so so Google can see the meta-tag) and then try to do the Google verification process again. If you can't do such I suggest this. I'm afraid that if nothing work's, there is nothing more I can help you with.

I get "You do not have permission to access this page. " Where should this code go directly? As it is different from what I was using.. And I would like to see if it works,.. Also your code says Shouldn't "NOIDEX" be "NOINDEX" ?

blueshead - What he means is go to Admin Area > Themes > Layout Templates > Forum Wrapper and add this line: <meta name="robots" content="noindex, nofollow, noarchive, nosnippet, noodp"> into the head of the document. (e.g., between the <head> and </head> tags, right under this line): <meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" />
If you're interested in learning more about this particular meta tag (so that you know exactly what each of those values is doing), I suggest reading this article.

Extra page views sometimes isn't necessarily a bad thing He has ad-free enabled for guest, so the page-views the bots use are using up the credits.

Last words on this blueshead.. I used the code for a few days, and removed it after finding out I had dropped from 2nd to about 15th for the main keyword search for my forum.. I did feel it was a dangerous idea.. It should rectify in a few days.. Don't risk the code if you want to be top of google.. If you get your members elsewhere then, it is no major worry.
Bye guys, that really is my last post on here..

leonjb Well you asked to block the Google-bots, the Google-bots are the one's that crawl your forum for Google if you block them your forum wont be crawled. You have to block the bots if you don't want them to crawl your site, they need to crawl your forum for you to appear in Google search results, you want to be at the top of Google but yet not have Google-bots crawl your forum you cant have both. I am sorry you are not pleased.

I am sorry you are not pleased. At least we know the code works.. I'm a small gaming board .. So we don't care about google.. Also leon could have enabled ads for guests and used the "global messages" plug in to tell guests that registered members enjoy ad free. I myself am very happy with PB V5.. And my members are really enjoying the new features..
