I have the same problem as vojera. "account is pending approval by a staff member"

Ziggy, PB cannot approve accounts on individual boards. It's strictly up to the staff on that board to approve or deny new accounts. Sometimes it takes a while. Sorry.

If you are a regular member they probably have a setting set to where they have to approve new members. They probably haven't approved you yet. The staff on that board has to approve you

Hi ZiggyMack,

I was able to confirm that the forum in question does have restricted registration enabled and your account approval is pending in the administrator control panel. This is different from vojera's issue, as the forum she was attempting to register on did not prompt the administrator to approve her account.

For account approval, you'll need to contact the admin of the forum.

Taking a quick look, it appears this issue is different from the original point of this topic. Can I ask you to create a new topic? In the new topic, can you provide the exact error message your member receives when they attempt to login?

I'm staff on that forum and there's no member waiting for approval. Ziggy even tried making a second forum account, I approved it, and still does he "account is pending approval by a staff member" error. He hasn't been able to get on since we upgraded the forum to v5.

To correct what I previously said, apparently he can log in on the new account he made, but not the one he had prior to the v5 upgrade, which isn't too much of a deal. I'm just hoping that it's not contagious and affecting some other members, since I have no contact with some, other than through that forum.

You can always direct them to this post located in this board's FAQ thread. Upgrading your account to use V5 for the first time should be relatively straightforward.

Let us know if they have any issues following that post.

Sorry for the wait. I found several members who would have also had problems logging in, and those are fixed now as well as Ziggy's original account.

Since I'm trying to track down the original issue, can you tell me when your forum converted to V5? There is supposed to be a fix in for this bug, but maybe it happened after you converted.

same happened with my forum, mhqsg.proboards.com, where i'm the admin.

Two members of the forum, namely briansw71 and scratchcat can't log in and get the following message "This account has not yet been approved." on a white screen with nothing else. I have no accounts pending approval on the appropriate tab. I've checked multiple times.
