I did read through most of it but im confused and get confused easily, I don't get any of this really. I don't know what the registered date thing means, the mini profile and span date and all that. >.< I'm sorry if im making this confusing and complicated more than it needs to be!

the register date isnt normally in the mini profile, so you have to edit the forum template to put it in. without that date in there, the activity bar has no idea where to start from.

do you know how to edit forum templates?

under the admin panel

structure -> advanced templates -> mini profile

then you sorta have to look at what is there and get used to understanding it. the template editor is an advanced thing, but its powerful. so I suggest you buckle down for the ride.

what you see is basically the HTML of what serves up the mini-profile with some "placeholders" added in. the placeholders get replaced with data from the PB server when they hit the page. that $[user.registered] is a placeholder.

so looking at your mini-profile coding, you decide where you want the register date to show. just insert in the span stuff. then you can preview the change before committing to it.

Ok thanks, but I don't get it still. I placed this. "<span class="post_act">Registered: $[user.registered_on]</span> in the mini profile at the bottom and checked, and still nothing. I don't get it at all what im supposed to do. I need pictures to help me because I can never get anything like this without some ref. pics to help me out.

I give up on it, I can't figure it out so im not going to bother with it and just remove it. :/

you can actually do that by making it where it only puts the register date in the MP if the viewer is staff.

when I get home from work I can post that template change

Where does this go within the template?

wherever you want it to show in the mini-profile. I suggest in the "info" section. the bar will show at the bottom.

I checked the mini profile template I cannot find where it says "info". Can you give me the algorithm as to where this usually goes?
