That's why I said if you were interested in the age range rather than specifics  Qualified by the fact that I had no idea how or why you'd want to know your members ages (as you didn't actually say what you wanted them for in your OP) I like to know or at least have a rough idea how old someone I'm talking to is. |

Let me turn this round...... why on v4.5 were/are forum admins permitted to see hidden birthdates? Again, it was wrong before and now has been corrected in the new version. And once v4.5 no longer exists this problem will be resolved across the board in ProBoards. |

I don't want to know exact birthdays - just a rough idea how old a member is. I don't know about you DeltaDart but I talk quite differently to 13 year olds compared to a 83 year old.  |

You'd probably never know... which to me is why knowing how old someone is isn't important. I don't find it's age that affects how I 'talk' to someone but how they 'talk' to me. Above all that I treat everyone with respect regardless of age/sex/location. DeltaDart told you why the birthdays were no longer visible which was the last clear question you asked in this thread. Non specific 'bumping' probably won't help you get any more answers unless you make it clear what you want. And if it's that important to you why don't you make a custom field with a selection of age ranges and ask your members to fill that out. |
