Hi toetapping, I gave a couple of usual things a try with the marquee tag to see if the speed can be set, but unfortunately by the looks of it I believe there is just the one speed available

Not that I'm aware of, but what I'll do is flag this topic for a dev and they will be able to clarify if there's a hidden setting to adjust the speed that I don't know about. Should hopefully have an answer on Monday

Hmmm. I tried : I was puzzled as to why it didn't work? edited to add: I've just edited the [] for <> so you can see what I just wrote <marquee behavior="scroll" direction="left" scrollamount="1">text with slow scroll speed</marquee>

[marquee]Speed 3[/marquee] MArquee doesn't "play" in Visual. Bug or is it purely not meant to? I think it should, right?

heh thats wierd. In DNO's post I can only see the first scrolling text the second one is showing the code for it but in the quote Stinky made both texts are scrolling. Shouldn't the quote show the same thing as the original post?

I've got a theory but it involves a parallel universe........so I'd better keep it to myself

I always thought that the quotes was showing the exact same thing the original post did but this proofs that they might not do so. Now its doing as it should in the quote, could it have been a special glitch for just the first quote? I've got a theory but it involves a parallel universe........so I'd better keep it to myself Now you got me interested
