Drop Down Nav plugin / settings .........
Each imput box has a 'drag to reorder' button next to the delete button.
If you press the 'x' once, you delete whatever happens to be in the boxes immidiately. Might it be better to have an 'Are you sure' intervention as opposed to immediate delete ?
Much obliged.

This already exists. If they are empty (like you just added them) then they will delete immediately. You didn't lose any data. If they have values in them and you click the x it prompts you asking if you are sure.

Can you be more specific? What user settings? This request wasn't very clear.

When a user is editing the settings for a plugin that they installed. If you click the X it doesn't ask if you are sure. So you could accidentally click the X when just trying to reorder things.

You mean in an autoform that the author placed in their own plugin? I can make a note in our to-do list to add something like this. This needs to be reviewed. It could be a while before it's added. If we like it, look for it in one of our updates after launch. Thank you.

Just an update. After talking about it we're going to leave it up to the plugin author. There will be a setting they can check in the autoform settings.
There are lots of auto-forms (most of them actually) where you would not want to be prompted on every single delete. However in complex ones (like your screenshot with code boxes) the author could enable the setting if they think it's important.
We'll make a task, it could be a while before it's added.

There is also no delete protection for custom pages, when using the admin / settings / forum settings / navigation. Same 'delete X' next to the 'drag to reorder' icon.

There is also no delete protection for custom pages, when using the admin / settings / forum settings / navigation. Same 'delete X' next to the 'drag to reorder' icon. That's because all you lose is a word and a link if you delete it. We only put delete protection on things where you either are destroying something from existence or you are going to lose a lot of information. Something like the word "Home" and a URL can be easily retyped if you make a mistake and delete it. The navigation page is working how it should. Placing delete protection on every delete everywhere makes the system harder to use. When you go to delete something it should only prompt you if there are large scale ramifications to you deleting. You aren't deleting anything when you remove a navigation link. The custom page still exists.
