well I have a 2nd test account I use, and I tried that and could see who the invisible users are.
How did you login as a regular member? Is this some kind of Proboards backdoor?
If so, maybe this is why.

Just tried another account I have access too, that is definitely set to non staff, and I can see 1 member that is listed as invisible.
That member is called cocoa. please recheck.

We only have 2 members that choose to be invisible.
To be honest I dont mind as I'd rather not have the invisible option, but it isnt fair on those that choose to use it to have the option but it not work.

This is already a confirmed bug and should be fixed sometime this week, I imagine.
