Hi, I've been using this plugin for some time now and it's great, working really well! There's one thing though, it won't let me edit the descriptions once I've submitted the post. If I go back, edit it and press Save Changes, it doesn't change, it's still the one it was when I first submitted it. I looked through this topic and no one else reported this problem so is it just me or hasn't anyone just felt the need to edit a description? Could you fix this? I have the latest version, just upgraded to it from the library. I am also having this issue. I've noticed that sometimes it will change after the third or fourth edit.

Adding any padding to div.thread_description_page is not working... I noticed after looking at the coding you have on the class by default you have padding: 5px !important; and I cannot get around that via CSS. Oh, btw, about my last problem. I updated and it's fixed.

Stinky666I was think about using it for an image thumbnail section. If someone has a really long url, it cuts off. And besides, what if someone wants to put something longer there? Maybe make it editable within the plugin, either a set length or unlimited? FallenSamuraiI'm interested in knowing if you have managed to get this to work as a forum I'm working on to integrate to a client's website is needing thumbnails of images displayed on the thread list

The max length is 3995 characters. That is the highest I can make it.

Thanks, I read the whole thread and saw that - what I'm interested in is how the thumbnail actually appears - I can only get it to display the link

you need to use html. <img src="IMAGE URL" /> Thanks, I did try this and it doesn't bring up the image. Have gone down a different track now. Thanks

Be sure you are using a legitimate image, should be ending in .gif or .jpg or .png (not sure if there are others)

Awesome plugin, first of all. But I have an issue... No matter if I change the setting "Force Thread Description" to no or yes, it still forces a user to input a description. No idea how long this has been happening, since the setting was originally set to "no" but I just noticed it today. Hopefully I can get Stinky666 to verify because he's been active in the board where it was enabled more than I. Anyone else having this issue?

I see why it's happening. Try putting placeholder text in the plugin settings. I'm almost positive that that is why its doing it. Let me know if that does it, and if so, then I'll fix it so it doesn't happen again.

I just sent the update to the library. Will let you know when it's ready. Once you have it you should be able to not have the placeholder text anymore.

Solved.I was trying to Share from a non-public board to Facebook. Possible bug. When using the Share function and posting to Facebook I get an error message indicating Thread can't connect to Facebook. Checking Facebook debugger I find one major error message: "Your page has meta tags in the body instead of the head. This may be because your HTML was malformed and they fell lower in the parse tree. Please fix this in order for the tags to be usable." I think the Thread Descriptions plugin may be causing the problem, as I can successfully upload multiple multiple Shares of same Threads which don't have anything in the Thread Description text area. Does this make sense? Note: I added this fix to correct other Share/Facebook problems. UPDATE: Disabling plugin didn't prevent error message appearing when trying to connect to Facebook.
