I'd like non-staff members to have the ability to delete their own posts from locked threads. Let's say, for example, that there's a heated argument going on in a thread. You reply but accidentally post some personal information or something else you'd later regret having posted. You go to edit or delete your post, but it's too late -- a mod has already stepped in and locked it. Now your options are to either PM/plead with a mod to have it removed, or to hope no one notices. Of course, this doesn't necessarily apply to new posts; maybe you discover something that you regret having posted a few weeks/months ago, and you can't remove your post by yourself because the thread ended up being locked for whatever reason. In either of these cases, I think it would be helpful to give members the option to remove their own posts from a thread that has been locked.
As I understand, the purpose of locking a thread is stop people from being able to reply to it. However, deleting an existing post from a locked thread would be harmless (i.e., there's no way it could bump the thread to the top of the thread listing). Having this option wouldn't take anything away from the staff's ability to close threads, although it does give a useful power to the members.

1 Don't post anything personal. 2 Ask a staff for help if you need a post deleted that you can't.
