So with plugins where you can get lots of duplicated input boxes. (e.g. global messages) if you edit one at the top it's a loooong scroll to the bottom to save the changes. Anyway there can be a save at the top like with themes?

A save button would be nice at the top too but you can always click on the "About" tab and click the save button there if its a long scroll to the bottom of the plugin settings.

Oh that's neat I assumed it wiped any changes if you changed tabs. Thanks Entris

No worries, as far as I know you will only lose the settings you have done if you leave the plugin itself without saving, I usually do all the settings in all the tabs at once and then click the "about" tab and save it all from there before leaving the area.

Entris, so it works like how Layout templates does? With those too you can switch between the tabs, altering what you need, and unless you leave the Layout Templates without saving, it will keep all information =O

It's been working for me like that so far at least lol
As long as you don't load a new page you are good to go (not sure how other browsers act but in IE9 it will warn you if you click on something that will load a new page and make you lose the alterations).

I believe Entris is right. It's also really up to the author of the plugin to organize the interface. I understand however that you are referring to autoforms, which obviously can expand infinitely. Part of that is still on the author. I see a lot of autoforms that have massive amounts of options. That's essentially generating a whole new form every time. We will discuss this further. Maybe we can add an option for top save buttons. Or just detect past a certain size or if there are things like autoforms. We will add this to our list of future ideas. Thank you.
