If I want to e-mail a member I can go to admin > members > email members. How do forum members e-mail each other please?

They can't- at least, not using the method you can. Interested parties would need to exchange PMs providing their email addresses to others.

Member A sends PM: Hey Member B. The thread you posted has had an amazing response. Thank you for posting. Member B habitually checks his/her e-mails but not the forum and is unaware of the response. (I only posted this because someone told me that they habitually check their e-mails but dont bother to visit the forum very often)

The member can go to their profile and set up notifications to be sent to email for this

A member might just post an "off the cuff" remark which results in a huge debate? They don't set up notifications because it was just an "off the cuff" remark. Can't members be given the means to e-mail each other? No e-mail address has to be posted? (so new privacy laws are not broken) Just an "e-mail member A/B" button?

Hi, emails are hidden in v5 due to privacy, in order for this to happen, you would need to exchange emails.. HOWEVER! You can certainly post this idea to bring it back if you'd like, in the Feature Requests board!! Note: It has been suggested a couple times, not sure what Ryan will say about this.
