I'm using the latest version 1.0.6 which works in Quick Reply.

Thanks, Rita. Could you point me to it? I always go to the first post for the latest version. And the version there is 1.1.0.

Thanks, Rita. Could you point me to it? I always go to the first post for the latest version. And the version there is 1.1.0. After installing the one in the first post it shows up as 1.0.6 Beta in the Plugin Panel. And it don't work for me so I have deleted it and went back to one of my older ones.

Thank you, thcri! Then I guess it doesn't work for me in the Quick Reply.

The current version should work in the Quick Reply, but you will need Eton Bones' UBBC Buttons With Quick Reply plugin. Also, at the moment I can't update the plugin version numbers, so while the current version is 1.1.2, the plugin will claim to be version 1.0.6. You can check the source code of your forum to make sure you have the latest version if you need to.

Aha! Then that's my problem and I'll have to put that plug-in in place. Thank you, Todge. With or without it working in quick reply, it's awesome!

I put that plugin in place and it slowed down Quick Reply so much I took it off!

Hi, Whisker! Good to know. If that happens, I'll know it's not just me.

Hi, Luv! It's a simple matter to just enable or disable it. Personally I like Quick Reply to be just that - without too much clutter. Only one of my members, so far, has assembled a selection of Personal Smilies, and I think she is fine with it being just on Reply. I appreciate having had the opportunity of trying out that plugin. There are extra buttons on it, and the opportunity of making extra buttons, which may be very useful for some people. Cheers, Luv!

Thank you for the explanation, Whisker! Much appreciated. And good to see you again. I feel the same way you do. Quick reply is just that. I figure if no one complains, it ain't broke. If they don't have it, they don't know it's missing. My members love smilies and many will add the 25, I'm sure of it. But they are accustomed to quick reply not having all of the bells and whistles. Besides, thanks to Todge, I've given them 150 dropdowns with probably more to come. I think that'll satisfy them. Cheers!

Thanks, Luv! Not wanting to engage in one-upmanship - I have about 170 drop-down smilies - and still counting! I think the idea of Personal Smilies is brilliant. It gives our members such a sense of empowerment to be able to upload smilies that only they have. Both the fact of being able to have smilies unique to them, but also the exercise of being able to search them out and upload them into their profiles for themselves, is great! The fact that they know, that on our forums, they will be able to learn new skills, is a great incentive to stay on, and visit frequently, I think. Just my piece of Philosophy for the day!
Cheers, Luv!
Hsve a great day, Everybody!
Thanks again to Todge and Eton Bones, and PBS Staff, for the great work they do!

Uh, oh, Whisker. I'm going to have to get cracking to play catch up the smilies with you. And I totally agree about the freedom and creativity the personal smilies give our members. My group can be so very serious and yet they relieve that tone with the use of smilies. Sometimes, a smilie is the only answer necessary. Cheers to you, too. I hope your weather is pleasant and you enjoy the day. Same to all!

This is probably one of the most liked plugins, used by my members. There is hardly a day that I do not see new Smilies appearing in our forum. I also agree that it gives members a feeling of choice, in allowing them to show their own personality.
