No it is not that. The T has arrived the last couple of days.

This is what my front page looks like. To get rid of it I have to press the x up the top opposite the T. It only happens on proboards forums. The cog is gone and replace by the T shown as above.

I am asking for a link to the forum in question, but for now I am assuming it is the one in your signature.

I am not able to reproduce the problem, and can't immediately see any code that might cause it. As Thomasss has asked above, have you tried another browser?

I wentand tried another browswer and ok.

Then I went to F.F. and I had inherited a plugin I didn't know I had so uninstalled it and everything ok now.

sorry to high jack this post....but I have the exact same problem click on the 'T' and a drop down menue comes ..I've taken a screen shot and its only occurred while trying out the new v5 . none of the other members have it...just me anyone any ideas what it is and how to get rid of it? thanks

our site is  theplace4coffee.proboards.com/ we don't post much on the message board mostly pm's thats why we dont like the new v5 and reverted back to using old style and opened a new site  theotherplace4coffee.proboards.com/index.cgi

if anyone has any ideas I'd appreciate them thanks

If toetapping can tell us what plugin was causing the issue, you most likely have the same plugin installed.

thanks for the reply RedsSetBat I have no recollection of downloading any plug in's at all.......strange?  I just don't feel secure with it lurking ......

I'm using google chrome 

the only thing I recall doing was clicking on a few of the links under related topics and stories at the foot of your support board which takes you off to other websites etc as their adverts .

In chrome, can you open a new tab and go to "chrome://extensions/"? That will tell you if you have any extensions installed.

the only thing on  "chrome://extensions/" is adblock I down loaded that about two weeks ago......I used that before for years on fire fox and no bother with it......do you think it could be  that?

No, ad block would not do something like that. It blocks, it does not add, on most occasions.
