Hi @christine1966, Just wanted to first do a test based on what you're trying to do in the post you linked to: Retro PlanetLooks to be working fine here. Can you give something a try?: [url=http://www.retroplanet.com/?PID=594343&AID=10845697&CID=593103][u]Retro Planet[/u][/url] ^ Copy the above, and then modify the post you linked to and paste that in. Does it display properly when pasted?

That is strange Ricky. When I copied it and then pasted it, it worked. Any idea as to what is causing it to not to post right when I post a link?

When I visited the edit page of the post you linked to earlier, it looked like the visual editor added some things that weren't necessary, almost as if the info was copied and pasted in from another source (such as a word processing program). Did you originally copy and paste that in? Or did you type it in directly?

May I ask where you copy the link from? Are you copying it from the address bar in your web browser before pasting? Or are you getting it from somewhere else on the forum?

When I copied the link, Ricky I click on the link then copy it from the address browser. When I post something using the same thing at a Friend's V4 site It works just fine.I just tried it at my friend's V5 site and got the same problem as at my site.

Thanks for checking back on it. I assume you're pasting in the URL link using the Visual posting editor, correct? If so, would you be able to provide a step by step instruction set for what you're to add the underlined link to the posts? I gave this a couple of tries copying from the URL in the address bar as you noted, but have been unable to re-create the problem. So it may come down to the steps you're taking and we can see what the cause may be from there

Yes Ricky I am using the Visual Editor. Okay I do the same thing over at a Friend's site and it was working this evening then I posted the same link at my site and it wouldn't post right. This was the site that I just shared with my members. www.themeshack.net/pspframes/pspframes.htmI open a New Post then after putting in the title, in the Body of the message I use this [ url = Link Here ] [ u ] Name of the Site Here [ / u ] [ / url ] but without the spaces. Then when I hit Create Thread I get this.

My guess is that the BBCode is confused about the address ending in .htm.

Thank you Micheal. I have one other question when you try to type something the Cursor is the same color as my text. Is there anyway to change that and if so where would it be?
Thank you Chrissy

Thank you Chrissy How does it look now? The visual editor has its own CSS and it doesn't adopt your link CSS, hence it behaving very oddly. Changing the cursor color would probably be accomplished through CSS. I would ask on the code and design boards if they have anything that would work for you.
