I've looked but can't find the answer in the existing threads. Sorry if this is a repeat question. I would like to change the background color in the reply box and the message box to white or maybe some other color. Ie make them look like the reply area in the shoutbox. We use black as the default background for the forum but don't want it in the reply box(es) Thanks again

Each has its own style options

When composing a reply you'll have two clickable tabs at the bottom of the message box, Visual and BBCode. The former will display embedded images/videos and BBCode automatically, without having to make the post, whereas the latter will display the BBCode in it's raw form. In the Styles & CSS editor, you must edit them separately. Let me know if you need any more help with this.

Thanks David. Appreciate the reply. Now I know what each one is. I was going in and making changes to see what happens anyway. Stinky666 gave me the right direction. Sometimes it's just good to go check it out and see what it does. It's a bit nerve-wracking sometimes tho as I have no real idea what is going to happen. I'm certainly no computer genius. I'm still mostly amazed at the whole thing. lol excellent help Thanks to you both.

oops
I made the changes in my main (default) theme instead of trying this in a new one.
I made changes to the BBCode and the Visual editors.
I got the BBCode where I want it but I would like to change the Visual one back to where it was before I messed with it. The only change I made was I just made the background white and the text black.

Sorry for the delay, orrv - what did your Visual Editor look like before you made the changes? Do you remember?

Thanks David, I expect you are busy. yeah, that's the problem. It was just the color codes and I don't remember what they were or I would make the change myself.

Well, temporarily overlooking what the exact color code may have been before, you can always use the color picker to select just the general color you're looking for and the difference should be negligible. Just make sure to also edit the text of the visual editor to something that contrasts with the background so it's easy to read what you've typed up.

Initially I had planned to give you an export of the default v5 skin (the one you see here on the support board) and have you import that over your default skin and just put the BBCode editor back to the way you liked it by copying all the codes, but that solution was moot when I saw your theme already has modifications to the color - it would have made everything blue! Let me know if you need any more help figuring out how to get things looking the way you want.
