I'm not really a fan of the new v5. I don't understand how to toggle the plug ins, because I'm not used to doing that. I liked it better when it was just a code that you put in your headers and footers and you edited from there. It was easier to deal with in my opinion. Now, (and I've addressed this issue before and got no help) the beta test takes away my side tables and that is very upsetting considering me and my friend worked really hard on this to get them just right. I don't understand how the pug ins work at all; no one has filled me in on this.
animosityasylum.proboards.com/ That is my site. That's what it's supposed to look like. I honestly don't mind the change it has on the look, actually I like it better than v4, but the fact that the codes we altered won't work for v5 is upsetting.

Hi, Mircea Gnosis. If you already have a plugin installed, toggling it is super easy. There's a checkbox next to each installed plugin that lets you turn it on and off instantly. No long menu navigation, no typing, no nothing. This plugin I've created not only duplicates the functionality of Smangii's side tables, but adds even more functionality to them, such as the option to have them follow you down the page, or to customize them with your own CSS on a per box basis. The best part is that you no longer have to navigate through several lines of HTML to customize each container in your side table. They're all contained in their own neat forms that you can edit and even just click and drag to reorder. Several users who used Smangii's code in the past have praised the plugin and absolutely love it. I'm sure the legend code wouldn't be too hard to duplicate in V5. You'd just need to request help from someone willing to do it, and as the plugin database and request boards demonstrate, there's several coders filling out requests for not only new plugins, but V5 renditions of codes from V4 as well. Have you asked for help in regards to anything related to V5 previously? We want to make the transition as smooth as possible for you, as we've stated to everyone several times before.

support.proboards.com/thread/434486/plugin-index-100Take a look in there, you will find 'proboards sidebar' and 'Sidebar redux' for a start Download the plugin to your computer, then upload to your board, test each ro see which is best for you (you can install both, and just enable the one you want to try), there are settings for left and right side, and a simple way to edit the content. If you need help with them, feel free to ask.

Okay, I got the welcome table up, but now it's attached to the banner. Anyway to get it to not attach itself to the banner?

Okay, I fixed that problem. Now, I'm having issues with the side bar squishing my forum. How can I fix this? animosityasylum.freemessageboards.com/ I don't know if you can see the beta forum, if not let me know.

You'll need to increase the width of your forum in Themes > Colors & Theme Creator to accommodate the sidebars.
The entire forum is contained within a div called "wrapper", which determines the width of your entire forum's content. So when you add stuff to the sides of the forum, that stuff takes up part of that width.

I got it fixed like I want it. Thankyou, but is there anyway all the modifications I have done will stay when it upgrades?

Plugins unfortunately cannot be exported with their settings intact due to the differences between forums and their content. However, duplicating the plugin settings should just be a matter of copying the value of each field into the plugin on the new forum. On the other hand, entire themes can be exported to a file and saved to your computer via Themes > Theme Manager. Simply select a theme from the list, then click on the Export tab on the following page. You'll be given a button to click that will prompt you to download the theme. Every customization you've ever made in the Themes section of your forum will be exported along with their associated theme and can be imported on any forum you choose. I noticed you have a Twitter feed on the right of your forum where worries have been stated about the April 29th forced upgrade. You'll be happy to know that you can opt out of this upgrade until the end of 2013 if necessary. Just click on the upgrade link in your admin area, then scroll all the way down on the following page and click on the button after the Opt-Out heading. This should give you plenty of time to prepare for V5, and if you decide you're ready you can upgrade manually at any time you want between now and the end of 2013.
