Earlier this evening I started noticing something strange: whenever I'm browsing a ProBoards forum, whether here at Support, my own test forum or several others I've tried as a guest, I need to press the backspace key two or more times to move back in my browser's navigation history. I tried using the back button in my browser as well, and that also required multiple clicks to move back. It happens on any page in a forum: viewing a thread, viewing my message list, viewing the index page, anywhere. I click a link, go to a new page, the page finishes loading and then I can't navigate back without at least two clicks/keypresses; the only way to get back in a single click is if I do it before the page is done loading. I checked my browser's navigation history by holding down the back button and it is in fact showing two history entries for the same page even when I've only loaded the page once. If I've scrolled down the page then the first click/press takes me back to the top, but I'm still on the same page until I press it again.
I found a forum that was still running v4.5 and clicked a few threads, and the problem didn't happen there—I can press the back button/backspace just once and I'll be taken back a page. The navigation history is also working fine on several other, non-PB sites I've tested, so it does appear to be isolated to sites running v5. My OS is Windows 8 and my primary browser is Firefox 20 but it also seems to happen in the latest versions of Chrome, Opera, Safari and IE. In Opera when I check the navigation history I'm seeing multiple entries that say "null", if that means anything to anyone.
Is some recent change to v5's code causing pages to load/reload multiple times or something? I haven't had this issue until today.
This is only a minor inconvenience at this point since it's not too much hassle just to press backspace two times, but if you guys could look into it when you get the chance that'd be awesome. Thanks in advance!

I'm getting that, I was tempted to make my own inquiry about it, but thought it might just be my computer. However, now I see it isn't just me.

I'm glad to hear that, it is a little on the annoying side but nothing I can't handle for a time. Thanks again to all of you for your hard work.

I've noticed the same thing. I use Firefox 20, and just now I had to hit the "back" button seven times to go back to the previous page. I'm glad to know it's not just me. I'm also glad to know the problem has been reported and is being looked into

Also experiencing this in chrome as of today.
Interestingly, I have had a similar bug with lifehacker's site for months. Looks like they fixed that bug today.
Edit: Likely same bug is causing me to lose the ability to go forward a page after using the back button.

I have experienced this recently but it is a hit and miss thing but it has seemed to happen on another forum site today so I felt it was my internet or chrome updated and there was a missing bug within it

The problem is resolved on the index page of the forum (have tried both here and on mine), but I still get the duplicate history entries when viewing threads or thread listings and so on.
EDIT: I've already cleared the cache, but I'll try restarting my browser as well.
