Okay, so I have a dilemma. I have just renewed my lease with my landlord for the next year, and plan on having two of my friends move in. One of my roommates is already moving out, but I have no idea what the other is planning on doing.
A little background on this roommate: She's 30 and living with two randoms (me and the other girl, who have become friends), and went through 4 different roommates before landing with us because they all backed out on living with her, including her sister. Well, here's why; she is a Type-A OCD passive-aggressive nutcase.
Let me give a few examples:
1) Instead of talking to anyone when she has a problem, she leaves post-it notes all around the house when something isn't the way she wants it to be.
2) She insists on the thermostat being regulated to the temperature she wants it to be at, no negotiation, and if we change it, she rips it off the wall (true story I have an image to back it up). Originally she said it was because she cant' sleep in hot weather, but we've recently discovered that it's because she's cheap. Thats fine, but why make up a lie about it?
3) If we don't include her bathroom towels in our laundry runs, she takes them and puts them in her room so nobody can use them
4) She's a neat freak. I don't mean, likes the house clean. I mean if the house doesn't look like it's never been lived in she throws a hissy fit. She once freaked out because there was a spoon in the sink. One spoon
5) Another thing on the dishes, we have a dishwasher, we have hot water included in our rent, but she either forgets it or is just nuts because she's been known to take dishes OUT of the dishwasher, wash them, then put them in the drying rack and complain that we're using too much water.
6) She's unapproachable. If she's in the living room she gives off the impression that nobody else is allowed to come in, because it's "her time". Side note when it's just my other roommate and I in the house we share the living room just fine.
7) She gets angry if her water cooler (PUR) is not filled up to the tippy top every time, which is a pain in the butt because it's one of those big ones that get heavy. She claims it's because it'll dry out if its not completely full, but I've seen otherwise.
There are many, many other things but those are the Top 7. Anyway, the landlord has given me the okay to stay, and she's said that she wants to move in with her boyfriend, but I don't know if that's happening. Anyone have any advice?
