Thanks again for all your hard work on this site! The width now displays correctly on Safari. Gonna go give this a five-star review now.

It was a bad assumption that safari and chrome were still in sync...

Playing with this now that double-sided is available to again see if it works for my site, I just filled out the brackets in the posting page and, upon clicking create thread, it collapses the entire window area for the brackets but stays on the posting page. It doesn't give an error message like "you must enter a message" or anything. It just vanishes and sits there. Switching back to bbcode, I added some random text and it let me make the post, but the brackets were entirely gone/absent from the post. alcryst.proboards.com/thread/367/test-brackets I use Chrome

I just made a bracket in chrome on a new thread, so I suspect anotehr plugin conflict.
you know the routine... if you let me know which plugin its clashing with I will see what I can do

Alright, so I disabled all of my plugins except for tournament brackets and the problem persists. I realize now it's likely not a plugin conflict--it's when you skip Save and just go straight to Create Post. So if you decide not to click Save prior and just do Create Post, it collapses the entire posting area and removes the tournament bracket--you have to click a tab (tournament bracket, bbcode, preview) to get the space back in the posting page and then the tournament tab doesn't save the one you had before. I suggest making Create Post grayed out until you click Save or Cancel while on that tab or perhaps just have it generate a question "Do you want to save this tournament bracket?" or something along those lines. I don't know. But regardless, I figured it out so it's no big deal now! Gonna double-check that it works smoothly so long as I click Save first when all the plugins are re-enabled and I'll edit it in
EDIT: Yep, it does work

I will try to think of something, but I didnt want it to disable submission just because a bracket was incomplete or unsaved. like maybe someone just wanted to try it out but not actually create a bracket.

The popup might work then. As it is right now, you are more likely to lose your work than anything, since clicking Create Post doesn't create the post, it just eats the brackets, you still have to navigate out of the tab to create the post. So if it popped up asking if they wanted to save it and they said No, it would post without, if they clicked Save it would go to the normal screen after saving a bracket, how it goes back to the tournament tab's homepage little box thing.

Okay, so in this dropbox menu, I can't see the numbers. Is there any way for me to change the font of those numbers. Thanks!

I have been having a great time using this plug in and putting all the info into the brackets myself but I will be opening it up to users to put there own info in for the first time. I will be creating a new group for the 16 qualified contestants to write group permission to. Can you give me a run down of how this will work? Will the new group show in the selection box? Can they edit the ladder without having access to edit the rest of the post? Will it allow them to go back and edit older brackets? If the thread is locked will that prevent this?
Thanks

bracket data is stored as a post key. if they can edit the post, they have access to the bracket editor (since that is where the editor lives). they also need to have key write permissions (which are setup in key settings).
if a thread is locked, they cannot edit the post, and therefore they cannot edit the bracket.
