Honestly, using a built in feature is always better because it will always be more secure. If a plugin is used to store who has voted, all someone has to do is look at the page source if they are clever and figure out who voted for what. The poll feature would never reveal that.

I have this installed on my forum and am able to create a bracket, but I can't read the text unless I highlight it. Is there any chance of having an option to change the background color so that white text shows up?

Following up on the 'non-removal' of Brackets - is there any definitive answer to the reason why a Bracket is not removed after hitting 'remove' and save.
FYI using Chrome. Edge, Opera on both Windows 10 & Mac.

I realize this likely won't be answered for a while.
I'm getting the double bracket effect. I only see one version installed (2.1.6) in my plugin manager page.

Also, my intended use for this plugin appears different than most users. I intend to use this for Bracket challenges where I would create the Bracket and enter all the contestants and then the users would copy reply with the predicted outcome of the contests by filling in all the winners. Is there any function to copy the Bracket (in an editable format) into replies?

Well the problem with that is the bracket is rendered as an html entity. you cant really drag over a html entity and copy and paste into a document. at least not from the forum editors stand point. I suppose I could make a copy button that would convert it back to the BBC code its stored as in legacy posts. Do you have it where anyone can just create brackets in a post already?

I have a problem.

I enabled the tournament bracket feature in several different boards in my forum, one of which was a password-protected board.

As admin, I can create brackets everywhere. However, a regular non-Admin account (which I created for testing purposes) can't create a tournament bracket in the password-protected board. The regular non-Admin account can create brackets everywhere else though.

I changed the setting of that particular board to remove the password. But the regular non-Admin account can't create tournament brackets.

When I said "can't create brackets," I mean everything goes normally but when I press "Create Thread" button, everything collapses. Nothing is created.

I don't know if the password-protected-ness of that board is relevant or merely a coincidence.

Help!


Update: I was able to get it to work. All I did was add some text in the post before opening up the tournament editor. But I swear I was able to create a tournament without that text — at least as the admin.

When I want to edit created Tournament Brackets can't be removed,
insted they duplicates upon every edit changes or when try to remove them...?

Any solutions ?
