Download - 1.1.0This plugin allows you to drastically change the mini-profile of the system's Forum Staff user by completely overriding the mini-profile HTML and CSS with your own. Simply add your own HTML in the Customization tab, then view a welcome PM on a newly created test account to see the changes. If you'd prefer to use CSS to customize the styles on a per-theme basis, the plugin automatically adds a .mini-welcome class to the mini-profile container so you can address it in your style sheet. Example Screenshots:Conversation Settings Here's a template I made for the HTML section to start you off. For the most part, the things you'll want to change are in green.

Brian I am not quite understanding this but would like to use this. I send a pm manually when any new member joins. Just not sure how to set this up in the plugin. I think this is for just the mini profile but where do I add the actual pm that I want to send. so confused on this? I still have to send the manual pm correct, it just changes the mini profile area.

Admin > Settings > Forum Settings > Login & registration Go to the bottom, you should see "Registration Settings". There you have several options: - After Registration Page - Registration Welcome PM -- Subject -- Message - Disable Registration - Restrict Registration Edit: Dang, This is a long shot but, is there any way to make it so this also effects ALL "forum staff" messages? As in, ones that are already in peoples inboxes.

I never go into the forum settings and only did when I find that, because I was testing something. I don't think too long though.

That looks like a very handy plug in to have. I'm starting a forum on cats for cat lovers and would like to implement this. The CSS looks very simple and straightforward to follow in your instructions. Thanks very much for the plugin information.

Brian, is there a way to modify the name of the mini profile? I'd like mine to say something other than Forum Staff...

Dang, This is a long shot but, is there any way to make it so this also effects ALL "forum staff" messages? As in, ones that are already in peoples inboxes. It already does. You can't change the actual HTML in the database for the Forum Staff user's mini-profile, so technically it's still the same username/avatar combination from previously. This plugin merely finds that mini-profile when you're viewing a conversation and retroactively changes it to your specifications on page load. Brian, is there a way to modify the name of the mini profile? I'd like mine to say something other than Forum Staff... As Stinky stated, you can change that name to whatever you want inside the mini-profile HTML. Once we receive documentation on the page change event handler, I'll try to update this plugin to allow you to change the name in the list of conversations in your inbox as well.

Is there any other way to send a "system message" other than the automatic welcome pm? It is rather hard to test out if you have broken code with this plugin if you cannot see a message sent by it. Hahahaha.

Hahahaha. Nope. This is currently the only automated PM the software sends that's not authored by any user.

You would think they would allow things like "maintenance" notices, bans or similar things, to be sent as notifications via "system message." I will make some dummy accounts to check it. Much appreciated.
