Wonderful plugin Brian. Thx for it. For some Bear bug, I still can't rate it. Apart from that, is there any way to add a colour to the container background? and different background for different text? I modify the font color, and I could add the font background... but I can't figure out the body (is this correct? the body?) background. I mean, not the text background, but the complete table, below the title. I was looking for the variables, but I'm totally lost. Why/when sometimes in the Home header, why/when in the footer, when In the Styles part... I'd better ask for it, until I can learn all. Thx again Edit: by the way: the forum link is this: Forum

Hey, deltaq. It will usually inherit the colors of your theme, but you can use CSS to customize it if you choose. Just add this to the bottom of Themes > Advanced Styles & CSS > Style Sheet. Change the hex colors in green to your preferred colors. I can't think of a way to change the container colors for each news item without changing the way the plugin itself works.

What I want is a way to have the functions of the V4 Fader back...ability to input with a simple copy and paste from a thread, more then one line at a time that is. That would require UBBC coding and no modifications have allowed that. I want the ability to insert an image in the background, not just setting a color.

Thx Brian, it works wonderful ! just for anybody else that wants to use this: you need to also look in the font background to match (or not) the container background: <font style= "color: #ff0000; font-size: 18px; font-weight: Bold; background-color: #000000">Your News text here </font>

It will usually inherit the colors of your themeThe part I love the most, Brian. It's like the news feed of v5 in that respect . . . only better.

Brian, the container fields are more "sensitive" (for lack of a better word) in this plug-in. None of my others, including yours, act this way. If I simply backspace or hit the space bar twice, the copy all disappears from the container. At first, I thought it was my imagination, but it's not. I lost a completed box simply by backspacing when I wanted to remove a character.

I don't understand how you could lose any content like that considering you have to manually save the plugin for any changes to be done to it. I've not experienced that myself. Does that happen anywhere you press those keys? Are you sure the text wasn't highlighted or something?

Brian, you want help making it collapsible? If you want to edit the source code, you can go for it. My goal was to simply make a copy of the V4 news fader. Just beware of the chain of events involving expansions to that feature that will inevitably follow that.

Does that happen anywhere you press those keys? Are you sure the text wasn't highlighted or something? As I'm entering new content, if I use the back space, the information simply disappears. Since it's just being added, there's nothing to save, because the information is being inputted. It's tough to explain. I got in all the boxes I needed to, eventually, and it's working fine. But it's something I've never experienced. And I have several of your plug-ins, including the side bar.

It wouldn't give me a chance to save it, could it be because I pasted the HTML code and was trying to go back and change it to what I wanted it to display?
